The biggest defect of a Wikimedia community is people willing to pick fights with others, deteriorating their mental health, over minor procedure issues, instead of being pragmatic and following the intent of those people. If I get to engage with someone like that, I may temporarily retire from the community, because I now try to prioritize my own mental wellbeing.
